Plans and implements programs for pediatric patients. Promotes normal emotional development and reduces psychological stress and trauma related to medical illness and treatment. Communicates regularly with patients, family members, and hospital staff.
Bachelor's degree in Child Life or related filed is required.
Master's degree in related field is preferred.
Must have completed a Child Life internship from an accredited Child Life Teaching Program.
Previous experience working with children required
Previous experience with therapeutic use of play materials / activities is required.
Must obtain and maintain child Life certification within 1 year of hire.
CPR Certification is preferred. CPR Certification is required within 90 days of hire.
