The Registered Respiratory Therapist Per Diem Float DMC Detroit staff will work out of multiple DMC facilities. Facilities include DMC Childrenï¿½s, DMC Harper University/Hutzel Womenï¿½s, DMC Huron Valley-Sinai, DMC Huron Valley-Sinai, DMC Receiving, DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, DMC Sinai-Grace, DMC University Laboratories.

Employees must be willing to work across all DMC and Tenet facilities in their respective market.
Employees are required to work a minimum of two (2) total shifts per month, one (1) weekend shift per month, and one (1) holiday per year, (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)
Under the direction of a registered respiratory therapist and according to established policies and procedures, acts as a professional member of the health care team by providing respiratory therapy services throughout the continuum of care. In collaboration with the registered respiratory therapist, provides therapeutic and rehabilitative procedures and diagnostic tests for uncomplicated patients with, or at risk of, abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. Collaborates with physicians, nurses and other members of the health care team to assist with developing optimal cardiopulmonary care plans for patients. Performs assessments for patients and evaluates the appropriateness and effectiveness of therapy.
Graduation from an AMA/CoARC approved Respiratory Care program. Associateï¿½s degree in Science, Allied Health or equivalent, or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Certification (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
BCLS certification required.
Licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan.
Must be eligible to become Registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 2 years.
