The Child Life Coordinator is a member of the Women’s & Children’s Leadership team and works under the direction of the Pediatric Nursing Director. The coordinator will make certain that child life services are consistent with the policies, procedures and standards of the department and will oversee and supervise departmental activities, child life specialists as well as be a resource for child life services to multiple areas within the hospital. The Child Life Coordinator will work with other department leadership, both in-patient and out-patient, daily to ensure that high quality and collaborative services are provided to support the psychosocial needs of patients and families. The coordinator will serve as a resource to and collaborate with others to advance the department and hospital mission and vision.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: License/Certification: CCLS (Certified Child Life Specialist) Valid national CCLS certification issued by the ACLP
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: Child Car Seat technician within 1 year of employment
Experience REQUIRED: Minimum experience: Five (5) years of Child Life experience with management
